SKYCELL® GEOCELL
Cellular Filling Systems, which work by filling their protection with a honeycomb structure, offer alternative solutions to geogrid material. It works with geogrid logic in SKYCELL® GeoCELL (Cellular Filling System) material. SKYCELL® GeoCELL reinforcement in the ground and reinforcement in the retaining walls can be seen. The main difference between SKYCELL® GeoCELL and the filling system is its durability by providing fullness to the filling system. It is used in honeycomb-like filling systems to create carrier platforms on highways and railways and to maintain land transportation.
SKYCELL® GeoCELL cellular fill systems are geosynthetic erosion control products produced from high-density polyethylene. With its hollow structure and design, it allows the use of different types of filling materials. It is used in soil stabilization applications, greenable slope and erosion control applications, greenable retaining wall applications, and concrete aggregate-filled channel construction.
Protection Against Slope Erosion;
SKYCELL® GeoCELL systems placed on steep slopes are designed to retain fill material and limit its movement. This function eliminates the formation of hairline cracks, which is an important cause of erosion.
Soil Stabilization;
SKYCELL® GeoCELL cell walls prevent the aggregates from moving due to applied loads and hold the aggregates together. Thanks to SKYCELL® GeoCELL, the applied loads are distributed over a wider area instead of the direct contact point.
Channel Wall Applications;
SKYCELL® GeoCELL grass cover allows the soil fill to settle in channels with a water flow rate of 2.00 m/sec. Additionally, SKYCELL® GeoCELL l provides a flexible structure and can easily hold concrete on steep channel slopes. Creation of Permanent Ground Structures; In steep slope applications where it is not possible to place cellular panels due to the slope, the soil structure can be protected with vertical walls made of SKYCELL® GeoCELL. In such applications, SKYCELL® GeoCELL cells not only retain the soil but also provide drainage throughout the life of the structure.
