SKYSHIELD® HDPE GEOMEMBRANE
Geomembrane is derived from the English word GEO, which means earth, and the words MEMBRANE, which means separating or selective membrane.
As can be understood from this, Geomembrane or Jeomembrane; It is a general name given to synthetic insulation membranes used for insulation purposes with their separation and impermeability properties on soil, concrete, rock, ground, and surfaces. It can also be used as the final layer in applications.
Among geosynthetics, geomembrane materials that provide waterproofing are mostly used for insulation purposes in Turkey.
- HDPE (High-density polyethylene)
- LLDPE (Linear low-density polyethylene)
- LDPE (Low-density polyethylene)
- VLDPE (Very low-density polyethylene)
Production of SKYSHIELD® geomembranes, polymer resin and antioxidants, plasticizers, fillers, carbon black, and lubricants. The mixture formed by adding various substances to the raw material is produced in layers of various widths and thicknesses by processes such as extrusion and calendering. It is manufactured by sewing with thermal air welding robots. Its strength is very high, its load resistance and risk of tearing are very low, and it is resistant to sunlight. After the material is stitched, it is a special material that can be tested with testing machines to see whether there is air leakage or whether the seams are at the desired degree.
SKYSHIELD® Geomembranes; It is resistant to chemicals, have low permeability, provide high resistance to punctures and cracks, are long-lasting, have high strength and elongation, has many advantages such as UV resistance, flexibility, ease of application, and low cost.
